I guess i have read too much threads on this forum. I keep on reading how much people are making and comparing to my own site why am i earning this little. Also, i keep on finding threads for the highest paying keyword such as the "M" word. I thought of making few sites concering on the "M" field.

First, i thought of many ideas on creating sites based only on high paying keywords. I even registered two domains with the "M" keyword. But after that, i feel total regret because i have no idea how to start. I do not have anything to write on the words concering "M" word. I gave up.

My advice for people who are looking for high paying keywords:-
1) It doesnt work
2) Too many competitors out there
3) better focus on what you are good at before u realize you are wasting time creating pointless sites

Cheers.

You can't control how much you earn relative to how much other people earn. There are too many factors outside your control and this is bound to be a demoralising exercise (because you won't look at the people earning less than you).

You have much better control over how much you earn this month compared to how much you earned last month. Concentrate on making sure that you earn more each month than you did the month before.

Don't worry about what everyone else is earning.

First of all get rid of the cat and mouse chase by going after just top paying keywords. Keep in mind that you can make a million dollars off of one person or a million dollars off of 1 person.

Don't get discouraged about what others are making. Set your own goals and find HONEST ways to get there.

Focus less on the money and more about visitor. Visitors are your bread and butter. Rule of thumb: new fresh daily visitors great for adsense - Repeat visitors for affilliates.

As long as you can find a topic that a bunch of people are interested in you can generally make enough to at leas support a site. Don't just focus on high traffic keywords (same as the million dollar rule above), if you can find many on topic kewords with lower amounts of traffic can and will be just as good.

Learn to write for the web.

Keep creating content. 1 page on widgets tends to be not enough. More pages on widgets creates more potential picking up variations of keywors and traffic. Page B, C, D on widgets can help supplement page A on widgets and boost page A's rankings.

Create topic themes and search engines love themes.

A good place to start is topics that are of interest and you know alot about. Then go after ones you don't know much about (after you have a good idea what works). Ones you would like to know more about and want to become an authority on. There is a style that you can write in for these types of topics that you are learning about.

Also look at your content then qustion different aspects of it. Step into the visitor's shoes that has little idea of the topic and ask questions as if they are trying to learn about the subject. Such as: Can you explain this x part of wigets further. What about type of plants work best in this type of soil.

Try to capture as much of the market traffic for your niche before moving on to others (You just got to know when to say when).

Learn from what works for you and then multiply.

Learn from what is working for others and mould it to work for you.

Look at your compeditors (if any). Pay attention to topic areas they discuss. Look at products they are selling. Ask question like: How can I expand on this? What can I talk about that they are missing? How can I help inform people to make good decisions on purchasing x product(s)?

Get visitors involved in creating content. Get businesses involved in creating content. Get informational sites involved in creating content. Most webmasters tend to be willing to promote their sites. Don't be affraid of compeditors. You get enough compeditors working for you, you become the authority. You get enough people working for you, your site will expand like never before having more content than you know what to do with.

Stick with Bretts guidelines for sure.

Doh!

Keep in mind that you can make a million dollars off of one person or a million dollars off of a million people.

And make sure you proof read your content first. Lol!

i keep on finding threads for the highest paying keyword

As I check my stats every 1 or 2 hours and channel data are now available immedeately, I see much more high paying clicks than before.

Seems the advertisiers black list possibility starts working.

I think so, because when an advertiser blocks some scraper sites designed for high paying keywords in his campaign, the chance is much higher that a high paying ad appears on a good site.
