I have started a new site about 4 weeks ago, in a niche area. Now I am getting the right type of adsense ads in the blocks.

I also applied for affiliate programs in the same niche got got aprovals today.

When I was ready to embed those direct link type affiliate links, i saw that the affiliate websites are the same that are being advertised in my adsense blocks.

SO if i implement the affiliate link to these websites, we see that we get two entry points to these websites, on from my affilate link, and other from the ad in adsense block.

Is is against TOS? has anyone seen or tried this before? Presently I have decided not to add those affilioate links unless i get some sound advice.

Let me know your suggestions please.

( its a relationhips site for a particular community )

If its from the same advertiser, I would GUESS.. that that would be considered Tabboo, could it be confused with or as a google ad?

>> Against the TOS? << Probably best to email Google and ask that question.

You could always use the Adsense URL filter to block ads from sites you are running affilate banners for.

This happens all the time. (Many companies that use affiliate programs also buy advertising in various media--including AdWords and AdSense.)

If it bothers you--e.g., because you're afraid that the AdSense ads will drain revenues away from productive affiliate links--then you can simply block the advertiser's domain with the filter in the AdSense control panel.

EFV's right, there's nothing to worry about here. It's impossible for you to be aware of every AdSense ad that runs on your site anyway.

I mailed them with a similar question, if it was allowed to show third party ads which try to sell the same stuff as the adsense ads do and they said that was no problem.

But I would send them a mail and ask so that you have their response for your specific case so you have their mail on file.
