Hi there,

I have just checked my stats and noticed my eCPM has increased by ten times its usual amount. Basically the amount I have earnt so far today I usually earn by around 9 pm GMT.

I am wondering if it is worth e-mailing Google and asking what is happening?

If google were to adjust the amount paid for previous days earnings would these adjustments occur in the stats on the particular day or would they appear in todays statistics for previous days?

Your advice would be much appreciated.

I wouldn't say anything. I had a day like that about 2 months ago. I thought about emailing Google too, but never did.

I was able to look through my channels(back then you had to wait a couple days for channel data) and found out which page caused the huge change. It seems that their were about 5 clicks and I earned about $10.00 a piece from. That made my stats look way out of whack because I usually get much less than that for a click.

Thanks for the reply.

I can account for about 1/3 of the revenue earnt via the channel data but can't even see where the other 2/3 has come from. I can only conclude that previous days earnings have been added today or someone has clicked some high paying ads as the number of clicks is still quite low.

I don't think that delayed reporting happens very often, so it's most likely the latter. Some high paying ads probably made their way to your site, that's what happened to me. I haven't been able to duplicate the phenomenon, I wish I could!
