Anyone else experiencing huge increase in EPCs this morning. Yesterday was awful and this morning epc on 8 different subjects is 3x yesterdays. We ain't talking pennies either.

Do you think it could be new budgets kicking in or what?

Ya, I was thinking I should keep my mouth shut! I hope the sleeping G giant doesn't wake up a read this.

Starting out at rock bottom here. I've never seen it so bad. I am hopeful that it's simply hugely delayed stats... but no way to know until tomorrow.

Mine's up a little (maybe 10%), but it's hard to infer a trend after only 13 hours. :-)

Nothing has changed for me...still about 50% less than 3 weeks ago.

My EPC has been up for the last few weeks. One day was almost like the summer of 2003. Oh, the good old days!

Mine's up almost 3X, enough so that I just printed out a lot of Adsense (channel) reports over a number of different time frames to see what was going on and if I needed to contact Adsense related to some kind of fraud going on. Then I came here to WW to see if it was just me or not.

EPC is up across the board over a wide variety of topics and keywords. Some topics that never produced much anything in terms of EPC are the big earners today.

I can't figure it out. Adsense keeps changing the Adsense rules and Adwords program so often that I can't keep up with when what change became effective. I guess I'll just enjoy it while it lasts.

Couldn't this be partly explained by expired Adwords budgets coming back on line that had hit their budget limits in the last week of April?

I'm seeing much higher clickthru rates ever since I moved where I placed my ads according to Google's
heat map
[google.com]

I moved my best ad from the right of the intro of the article it's in, to the left. That's it. I could see a sustained increase in clickthru withing the hour.

The heat map says the ad would be best right on top of my intro, but that would have looked appalling on this particular page's design, and I'm pretty sure driven people away.

Yesterday some12 hours was definetely glitch in Adsense. They fixed it some 16:00 GMT
Pity.

Now again those sh!ty 7 cents clicks in average.
I hate this e-business.
My stomach is really bad after those highs and lows.

It's quite stressing but we'll all need to accept that Adsense is a chaotic system.

Our earnings depend on roughly five major factors; we, our competitors, our visitors, Google and the AdWords advertisers. A change on each of those sides will cause different results.

I saw this effect too. CPC was way out of the normal range yesterday morning. But it was obviously a one-time adjustment, presumably due to something like clicks that had been held for verification or had not been properly reported during the previous month. Needless to say a widespread jump of 100% or more in CPC is not sustainable.

Numbers are still up for me. But so are clicks. Not sure what it means but I like it and thank you Google :)
