Links exchanging with reciprocal sites is probably allowed and having of one links page on your site where are some links to other sites.
But what about example <snip> or some other links page where you can find similair sites and probably increase traffic.
What is exactly allowed and what not?
Can someone who have experience explain it?
I ask this because google TOS said

"Do not participate in link schemes designed to increase your site's ranking or PageRank. In particular, avoid links to web spammers or "bad neighborhoods" on the web as your website may be affected adversely by those links.
"

What they consider as link shemes and what not?
Sorry if i ask this again but site search does not works anymore on this forum. It is impossible to look in past of similair subject was asked.

Do not participate in link schemes designed to increase your site's ranking or PageRank

This means simple if You receive a spam email

Only $50 for 1000 links to Your web site,

throw in in the garbage,
do not pay the $50

The 1000 links would be bad neighbourhood
and Google would decrease the value of Your page.

If you value your Geoogle traffic (never mind your AdSense ads), you'd be wise to stay away from any and all spammy link-exchange schemes. (I might add that, as a publisher, I get sick of receiving automated link-exchange proposals. Why would a European travel-planning site ever want to link to somebody's affiliate site or Australian hotels?)

OK guys but using example <snip> (i though to try their free option to find similair sites that accept links exchanging) as wasy to incrase traffic is not consider as anything wrong?
As i have understand good do not play in any spam automated mail messages where there invite you to exchange links.
It is clear.Having one page with listed links on your site and try to find more similair sties for links exchange is allowed and not against TOS.
Am i right?

I have been exchanging links for years. I never swap links with the machine generated spams. I also avoid swapping links with anything that looks like a link farm, though I might have been fooled a few times.

I'm pretty sure it has helped me. I don't see what is wrong with this. Most of my exchanges have been with little guys just trying to run their own business.

I have built a very successful business by making lots of hand-picked link exchanges. You just have to do it in am intelligent manner.

An intellegent manner would be to not waste your time with sites that are so far above(ranking & visual appeal especially)if you don't have something of equal or greater value to offer them.

If a site has everything you want and they offer a reasonable fee to advertise, it could save you lots of time and probably increase the actual value of your link because it is one way.

Link farms are out...no value and could actually hurt you. Newbie sites that are looking to gain "quality" links in a keyword subject may be your best bet.

You want quality links back to your site...it is not all in the "quantity".
