"Image ads only" choice in ad unit setting, but this is completely tricky while it may seem something new.
Months ago, some of folks here asked if runnning only image ads in a unit was possible or not, and G's answer to that was: "as for now, we are only allowing both image and text ads to run in a unit", meaning image-only ads was not possible.
With the latest addition of "Image ads only" doesn't mean much to me, as I see this as a late reply to those who wanted to run only image ads in a unit but more than that I see this as a possible trick.
There could be a choice of: "CPM ads only"....
"Image ads only" means very very low CTR image CPC ads will run in the same unit with CPM ads. What does that mean? You'll again lower your eCPM by running those low CTR, CPM image ads in the same unit.
Hope the reason why we can't see "CPM ads only" as a choice is that the program didn't had a start completely. Otherwise, that will be real tricky.
