EFT did start this month - but people still have the option of receiving their payments by cheque if they want. So I assume people in this thread haven't set up the EFT option as yet.

I setup EFT but was informed my sort code (UK - Halifax) wasn't recognised. :-/

On top of which I didn't get my cheque last month (seems to have gone walkabout). Hopefully this month's cheque will be waiting for me when I get home! :)

(should add that i contacted Google regarding my lost cheque and they were very prompt to respond and sort things out :))

Marketing guy if you have bank check books you will see that the sort code is under -branch sort code-
its a 6 dig number like 123456,thats in my personal bank,so i don't know how is in your bank.

I put the right sort code in. ;) Just wasn't recognised, although the email I got said it would probably be temporary - I replied today asking for some more information.

Did anyone that chose secured express delivery receive a tracking number?

I did not receive the tracking number. I have opted for secure delivery. Someone in the other forum said that it is only a secure delivery and you can not track it. It seems he got that message from Adsense support.

any US publishers get a check yet? I usually get mine next day, no dice this time around, and we're at next day + 1 already.

Google told me it was going to be DHL, so I assumed there would be tracking numbers involved.

Ah well. That would probably cost another $10 any way.

What I wasn't expecting was the return address and postmark, both Singapore. Post marked 26 April 2005.

It has been around two weeks in the past plus 28 days to clear the cheque. This time the cheque arrived 8 days and should clear in 5 working days.

According to a recent email from Adsense Support, all secured express checked will be sent out of Dublin. Ireland.

All normal checks will be distributed locally. Publishers in Asia and Australasia will, for example, get their checks by mail from Singapore.

Are the local currency cheques written on local banks? Or do they still have to clear through another country?

I guess it is. I'll go to the bank now and let you know if I can cash it right away.

do you have to go to Canary Wharf to cash the check in Citibank ,or you can cash it at any local bank? Because my check is the same.

If I knew normal cheques for Australia were going to be sent from Singapore and the Secure cheques would be sent from Dublin I wouldn't have bothered with the Secure cheque. Grr.

I think if you go to citibank you can cash it right away. But it you go to other local bank, it needs to be cleared for a day or two. Well, that is how it works here in HK.
