do you have to go to Canary Wharf to cash the check in Citibank ,or you can cash it at any local bank? Because my check is the same.
It's a standard UK Sterling check and can be paid into any UK Sterling account...Bank, Post Office, Building Society, wherever.
whats your bank onfire?Could you explain on this... I am at a loss..
He's asking which bank he is or has his account:-)
Did anyone that chose secured express delivery receive a tracking number?
I got a tracking number when I contacted adsense support to ask why my check hadn't showed up. My payment history said it was issued monday, and gave the check number, but the tracking said it wasn't sent until yesterday, which I am upset about because I paid the thirty dollars to have it EXPRESSED so I could get it before the end of the month.
I asked adsense support to file a feature request, to have the tracking number automatically recorded in our payment histories. Frankly, I am astonished that they didn't already implement this, they must be getting thousands of requests for tracking numbers.
They sent mine DHL. I don't know if everyone will be sent that way. I am dismayed because DHL's tracking page doesn't give a delivery date, while Fedex's does. I need to know the delivery date so I can be sure to be in when the check arrives, in case they want me to sign for it. I'll be really pissed if they just leave a note and come back the next day.
By the way, I checked, and the description says "Secure EXPRESS Delivery", and promises that our checks will be delivered "quickly". Yet I am not finding that my check is getting her (to nova scotia, Canada) any quicker than snail mail would.
They sent mine DHL.
Every time I see that Gateway computer TV commercial with the delivery personnel running through the fields carrying their packages for delivery I think of DHL.
I believe that's how they deliver their packages (on foot). They have to be the slooooowest carrier in the industry (although I'm sure they are cheap).
If I had known that the express checks were all being sent from Ireland I wouldn't have paid the thirty bucks to have my check expressed. Snail mail from new york to nova scotia has always been faster than what I'm seeing with this "express".
I can see why it's worth it to some, their postal systems are so unreliable that the express delivery allows them to get their check AT ALL. But the US to Canada postal system seems to be proven to be faster than DHL from Ireland to Canada.
When you told us that it was a locally written cheque I knew it would take only one day, am even surprised for you is not credited Saturday.
Unfortunately for me I have already reverted to US$ because the difference in Exchange Rates and Bank charges does not make any sense.
I think you can always change back to whatever currency you would like to receive.
Local cheques should only normally take one working day to appear.
I wish! UK banks take a minimum of 4 days to clear a standard UK cheque and some building socieites up to 2 weeks!
It's disgusting.

The rate given is money market mid rate.
What are you comparing to? Black market rates?
no one is home during the day though, so I assume the courier will leave me a slip so I can pick it up from the post office.
what a waste of time & money getting the 'secured express' delivery option.
I would have usually received the cheque by now even if I didn't select that option.
In my case, both checks were mailed from Brooklyn, NY with a meter stamp date of April 26, 2005. The one I'm looking at right now (the work envelope) has **4/27/05** printed in black (with the ** included on there) about an inch below the meter mark, for what that's worth. It only cost them 29 cents to send it, presumably under bulk mail rates. The envelopes were of the same non-descript layout as last month, with no mention of Google on the outside. It's good in that it doesn't look like a check is inside, but it's bad in that it could easily be mistaken as junk mail at a glance. When all you see is a PO Box and a Buffalo city listing and zip, it makes it hard to know what it is.
My personal account check arrived on Saturday. Four days is longer than usual for a New York to Tampa delivery, but I'm not sure if that was just the breaks of how the mail went this month or a consequence of bulk mail rate. I presume that the same delivery date was true for the company's account check, though I didn't receive it until yesterday here at the office when the mail came in from over the weekend.
About 2 or 3 days ago I've changed my payment option to Direct Deposit for future payments. Just wish I could do this with all of my other web income sources.
