Low, low impressions today

anyone else

So far today i am noticing ridiculously low impressions, well under a quarter of the typical amount for this time of tuesday. I checked my highest traffic keywords and the rankings haven't changed. Income seems normal. I loaded up a lot of impressions on a rarely visited channel to see if the impressions would show up and so far they haven't.
It's probably the standard delay of stats we see during periods of change but I'm just curious to see if anyone else is experiencing this before I investigate the traffic (or lack of it) further.

Mine are exactly where I would expect them to be after more or less 1/3 of an Adsense day.

Saw this happen last week, happening again today.

Mine is about $15 under par at the moment and Tuesdays are always my biggest day, has been for months.

But the day is early and yesterday AdSense in an unusual turn picked up massively in the afternoon.

We shall see.

My numbers look normal, but my account info might be hosted on a different server than yours, so maybe you're just experiencing a slower-than-normal update.

Mine are up by 3 times of what has been typical for this time on a Tuesday. Subject matter difference?

All normal, maybe slightly better here.

Mine is down dramatically for today and yesterday. Usually I get a 1.5% click through. Yesterday it was only 0.5% and today it is only 0.2%. Could this have anything to do with the New AdSence Features?

EFV, what I'm seeing isn't an update thing today.

- CTR is normal and strong
- Impressions are 1/3-1/2 for the day total which is normal
- eCPM is in the crapper

Normally my end of month generates awesome numbers.

Did the ads ran out this month?

Did Google's new CPM 'advancement' already start the decline and fall of the Google Empire?

Who cares as it's off to the pub for lunch and a pint.

We'll see if my eCPM is better when I get back :)

Powdork I am seeing results even worse than you and I am VERY concerned. Yesterday I had my highest ever day and today (at 7.20 pm) my site traffic is higher than what I had over the whole day yesterday but my earnings are just 2% of what I made yesterday and I am now heading for what would effectively be my worst day.

It's evident that there is something far wrong. I wonder what is responsible for such a large swing. Would it be prudent to contact Google about this?

My eCPM is far lower too. Actually, the lowest it's been in a while. Not sure if this has to do with the recent changes at adsense..?

Remember my earnings are normal. It was only impressions that were dragging behind. They are catching up to only being 25% down rather than 75% down earlier.

Impressions normal here. CTR normal here. EPC is 33% higher on a site that has very stable EPC. Drilled through the channels to find what's causing it - but they all seem to be up by between 25 and 40%. Sample size: circa 1000-2000 clicks.

My revenue so far is over the $x x x that account makes per day... and we're only half way through the day. No complaints here :)

Other (client) accounts are showing stable to small drops (3%) and could just be a slow server.

BeeDee, your situation sounds awful. I have seen my revenue decrease consistently from around the 18th, to today when I actually was keeping track and received 4 cents for 5 clicks.

I think something is seriously wrong and I've been complaining about it, but people around here seem to think I'm nuts (maybe I am, but that's not the point).

I've written to Google (yesterday morning - it's now after 4:00 p,m. here) and have gotten no response.

It's pretty discouraging. I had my best day ever on the 15th and it's been all downhill from there. My heart goes out to you.

At 9.40pm my earnings are now 10% of what I made yesterday. CPM yesterday = 132, today = 20 :(

Impressions are up. CTR is up. eCPM is up. So are revenues. I hope it's because of the new AdSense changes, but I doubt it.

Back from the pub, lunch was exquisite, the pints of bass ale plentiful

Earnings off by about 20%, if it doesn't catch up by 6pm I'm DOOMED! doomed I say!

I may need a PurplePill before the day is over, where is that ad to click on.....

Oh right, I blocked it.

I am getting a "Page not found" message in one of my ad blocks.

Is this normal or do I have to do something?

Geeze Bill, do you have to rub it in? The rest of us have been here slaving away!

My stats still look normal.

Geeze Bill, do you have to rub it in? The rest of us have been here slaving away!

I may show up for work early and stay late, especially since I've been working at home the last six years but I always take at least 2 long relaxing lunches during the week, always have. Life is just too short to jump to the time clock of a tightly wound bean counter.

ANYWAY ....

I'm mortified, my earnings look like they may end up off by 32% today while impressions and CTR may be the highest of the month. The only upside is this is still my best month ever so Google is probably punishing me for my success, showing me who's the boss :)

Have I mentioned again today this is why I sell direct advertising too? The billing is automatic monthly recurring for flat rate ads that with cash that magically shows up in my merchant account and it's always the same, KA CHING! but AdSense is a crap shoot worthy of Vegas odds. Anyone interested in setting up their own direct ads can even use PayPal's Subscriptions and Recurring Payments to handle this if you don't have a merchant account that supports it.

Ah, the AdSense rollercoaster, gotta love it, the stress, the anxiety, almost like work

I already had all of your impressions, EPC, CTR and earnings. Just call me and I will give them back.

There are always glitches and spikes / dropouts when a core change is made...

The real fallout of these changes won't be apparent until the general pool of AdWords advertisers start using the new system... at the moment it's just the big boys who have the new options... as far as I know...

If your most of your site ads focus on "big bidders" and "the best keywords" it stands to reason it will flux as impression based ads are rolled out... but as the competitiveness sets in with CPM vs PPC positions it should go up again... I think CPM will be most used for "branding" image based ads...
