Just a moment ago i accidentally self clicked on Google ad on one of my sites. I sent them email immediately after that click apologizing happened.

Anyone haves experinces about G's replies in these situations?

Yes - I've done it twice by pure accident. On both occasions they thanked me for bringing it to their attention, and pointed me to the TOS.

Once in a while could sensibly be considered to be a pure accident, but "accidents" on a regular basis would be considered click fraud.

honest guy.:-).
I think it's nothing serious for one accidental click.

I've done too..we probably all have. I reported it and got a quick nice response back telling to read the TOS.

Confess and repent!

As mentioned in another post... you can prevent ads from displaying when you visit your site by entering the following line in c:\windows\system32\drivers\etc\hosts

127.0.0.1 pagead2.googlesyndication.com

You can use notepad to open the hosts file (it has no extension)

I haven't clicked my own ads since!

I remember last year there was a guy on this board who spoke about having fired his wife for clicking on his Adsense ad :) , maybe a search will bring up that thread.

"Bless me, Google, for I have sinned...it has been 6 months since my last confession. I have violated the fifth commandment, in that I directly generated a click on an ad. I am sorry for these and all of the sins of my past life and ask for penance and absolution."

"Your penance is to say three Hail Larry's and make an act of contrition. Please review the Google AdSense Terms and Conditions (https://www.google.com/adsense/terms) for more information. Go and sin no more."

Isn't telling you to read the TOS a little... stupid? I mean by reporting the click it's obvious that you are already well aware of the situation.

It's a canned response from the google fortune cookie generator anyway. I seem to recall it mentions that you should use the preview tool, but what else can they say?

you can click on the ads in the preview tool of your own site without doing harm, right?

google has automated detection to recognize when an owner clicks an ad of their own in your scenario. Unless youre sitting there all day clicking away on your own site its not a big deal. You will not earn anything for the 1 or 2 clicks by accident however.

Some time ago I had a friend over. We wanted to find out if there was any good on the tele. And as one of my site shows tv-listings, i let her check it out. Unfortunately, she works in the 3D business and saw an ad for something 3D. So she clicked it.
A minute after I wrote a letter about what had happened. About this wasn't even me clicking it and it was actually a "good" click as she was genuinely interested in the site.
Nevertheless I got a canned reply about reading the TOS and not clicking my own ads. I got a little miffed at that. But then again, how many of these things do they handle each day?
