missing adsense ads

weird adsense behavior

Hello everyone,

A few days ago, someone posted about adsense ads disappearing from their site -- no PSAs, no nothing in the spots where adsense ads were supposed to be. I chimed in that I was having the same problem. General consensus of the board seemed to be "just wait, it will be fine."

Then after an entire day of nothing showing, I contacted Google. They replied, "we don't see any problem; have you tried clearing your cache?" Now, of course, I had tried clearing the cache repeatedly! But I went back and did it again, and, sure enough, the ads reappeared.

So I thought all was well until today, when the ads disappeared again, and they are most definitely not coming back in response to multiple cache clearing efforts.

Anyone else seeing this problem?

Could it be related to the massive drop in impressions, clicks and earnings I've seen in the last month?

I noticed this for the first time today ... on two different sites

I was just able to get them to reappear with repeated cache clearings ... but I wonder, if this is happening to my visitors, they're sure as heck not clearing the cache to be sure they're not missing my google ads!

My impressions and revenue are down more than 50% versus last month. Can't help but wonder if this disappearing act is the cause.

My earnings per click are 10 times less than before. Same traffic, same ads, same campaigns. I think it might be all over with adsense...never seen anything like it since the beginning.

I don't think this is temporary...

Is it the first ad unit on the page that this is happening to?

I only have one unit on almost all my pages. I can tell you that it's happening on multiple sites ....

It is happenning to me, a blank apace, no PSA...but when I omit the www and look at [domain,...] they're normal!

I have also seen the missing ad problem, no public announcement, no nothing.

Might have something to do with my sudden earnings drop...

I saw this on a different site yesterday too but thought that person had removed the ads.
Now they are there again. My earnings dropped yesterday too.

I'm not seeing any ads right now. Firewall is down. Cleared the cache. Still nothing.

I'm off nearly 50% clicks w/o any change in page impressions.

Extreme change of a very solid trend on 4/20.

I also see a related problem that the ads do not change from page to page.

So far I'm out nearly $200
