Brand New to Adsense as in my first week.
I need some help in understanding my clicks/earnings.

I have a new site that has just 2 pages so far. I have adsense on my main page widgets.com I also have adsense on the second page widgets.com/blue.html

The main page adsense is not showing relevant information for now it is just advertising domain names instead of widget info so I know nobody will be clicking on it. The second page adsense is showing blue widget info so I know I can get clicks from that page.

Question: In my adsense stats (channel data) the main page is showing about 6 times the impressions as my second page. ok
But the clicks are showing the identical number and earnings are identical too. I don't think this could be correct because nobody would want to click on domain name ads shwoing on the home page when they came to the site looking for widgets. Is this a flaw or something going on? I have been reading the board and I am scared I will get kicked out but I wouldn't know if something is wrong because I am an absolute newbie.

Thanks for your help!

I think the problem is the way you set up the channels.

You have set up widgets.com as a channel for the index page and widgets.com/blue.html for blue page. If this is correct, the stats you got for the index page has included the blue page also.

Note that channel widgets.com will included stats for the whole site.

There is a possibility there are geotargeting issues, others might see perfectly targeted ads :) Try using the Preview tool and see what shows up.

FromRocky that is what I did. I thought you had to do each page if you wanted to see what page got you the click. Should I only list widget.com? If I do this will I do longer get to see the clicks that came from the widget.com/blue page?

What is strange is that each page got $ I got paid twice. Wouldn't this be a google adsense flaw if the clicks really came only from the blue page?

Jenstar...nothing showed in the preview tool. I guess it is too new.

What you should do is to set up the URL channels:

widgets.com/index.html for the index page
and
widgets.com/blue.html for the blue page

What is strange is that each page got $ I got paid twice. Wouldn't this be a google adsense flaw if the clicks really came only from the blue page?

There is no google adsense flaw. What you saw is the repeated stats because you selected both URL channels and active custom channels.
