Does having clicks pay nothing mean you clicked your own ads?

I stopped using adsense about 5 months ago. Recently google sent me a nice letter saying they noticed I stopped using adsense on my sites, kinda of a reminder sales letter. My assumption: automated.

So I put some adsense up and the loot starts rolling in. Beyond my expectations, amazing. never was aware of the potential.

So I start to take a look at my adsense control panal, notice 0 payout clicks from about 6 months ago.

And now i'm nervous that when Google goes to cut my first check they will look back and see those zero payouts and withold the check.

Your insight and opinions are much appreciated.
Thanks

Did you click your own ads? It could also be clicks that were discounted for other reasons though.

don't know if this helps, but when I first started to use adsense, I had a lot of 0 cent clicks too although I never clicked my own ads. A few weeks later they dissapeared and never came back. Maybe the 0 cent clicks are just something that occurs when google is "calibrating" your account?

Hi

I noticed this, I was setting up some new sites and due to lots of pages been open I clicked on one of my own ads. As this was a new site, I could see quite clearly that Adsense had registered the click but had not made a charge.

This is nice to know as it does happen sometimes.

Thank you all for the helpful insight, hopefully I'll know soon if they show a payment.

I guess another possibility of having 0 pay click is when your adsense is new in your site, Google sometime display "public service" ads on your site and this ads don't pay you.

Actually if you following the TOS and never click on your own ads, there is nothing need to worry about. Google should smart enough to detect that, not just based on few 0 pay clicks.

FYI, my Adsense stat recorded craziest, totally unlogical and abnormal figures b4, but since I never did any funny thing like clicking on my own ads b4, I didn't worry about anything happen to my A/c.
