Trying to get Mediapartners bot to index more

Several days ago I started rotating between the large and medium rectangle ads on a couple of my sites. This is done randomly via a PHP script. I did this to hope to entice the AdSense bot to visit my sites more, since I've read here that switching ad sizes causes it to re-visit. Hoping better EPC would result.

However, instead of the number of bot visits increasing, it stayed flat or even decreased a bit.

Any ideas?

Perhaps your content hasn't changed sufficiently to mean that it is worthy of reindexing?

I'm not sure how the Mediapartners bot works, but it may be able to request the date of when the document(s) were last modified (you can do this in Javascript (document.lastModified), as well as a lot of other languages) and if that date matches the date in it's records, then it has no need to reindex the page.
