I have clicked on my ads 5-6 times beside visitor but there is no action yet taken by google to bann my account actually I am earning good from visitors but now I am afraid may be at the payment day they detect those 5-6 click and cancel my check
I just wanna ask that how they detect fraud clicks? at the same day of clicking or at the payment day? Plz help
Can somebody tell me what will happen if I click on my ads?
You could try your friends aunties next door but one neighbour and get them to open a new account but you will be found out when you login to your adsense account using your PC which you will do sooner or later just to check your stats
You do not understand the fact you are "Stealing" from the advertisers by clicking on your own ads and I have absolutely no sympathy with you what so ever.
I am advising you the only way you can hopefully solve this problem is by contacting them to apologise for what you have done but only google can really answer this for you
Note...I did not use the words "you made a mistake" because if you had read the terms of service properly you would know this already

I do wish that AdSense had a way to automatically discount our clicks though. It would make it easier to check out ads that we are concerned about. And also prevent heart failure when we do accidentally click. I accidentally got one the other day when I was working on and viewing pages in my computer files. But my computer was still connected online so there was an ebay ad advertising "buy 'my documents' here". <sigh>
Of course, it would be foolish to keep on clicking at our ads at this stage. After reading the threads in this forum, I no longer even dare to point a mouse arrow at any of my own ads anymore. Better safe than sorry, so to speak.
ya i agree with u moneyraker
i just wanna see that what would happend when someone click on my ads..so i clicked manually ..5-6 times..:(
ONCE i let my Toshiba on the table and went to other room.
After 2 min. I came back and was TERRIFIED!
My 2 years old daughter was clicking all over MY
SITE. So she did clicked 2-3 times on ads.
:)
I was thinking what to do and decided do nothing.
Still alive.
:)
But now ALWAYS closing explorer and my site.
Can’t I able to create new account?
It's right in Google's T&Cs
"Prohibited Clicks
<snip>
Please note that clicking on your own ads for any reason is prohibited, to avoid potential inflation of advertiser costs.
<snip>
Account Termination
Fool us once, shame on you.
Fool us twice, what are you crazy enough to think we'd give you a second chance?"
>>I just wanna ask that how they detect fraud clicks?
that information is not public knowledge for fairly obvious reasons and nor do i have any private knowledge :)
but it is safe to assume that as google is in the business of storing huge amounts of data and analysing it in various ways to detect patterns - then at least some of your interactions with google have been recorded, eg ip addresses, domain names, gmail/froogle account logins, search terms used when searching google ... these bits of info can be used along with others such as normal distributions of pages served to clicks and so on.
I guess it's not uncommon for newbies who have not yet read this forum to click on their ads after installing the Adsense script on their pages.
You don't have to have read these forums to know not to click your own ads.
You just have to read the Terms and Conditions you agreed to when signing up for Adsense.

I agree with you, Rodney.
I had the sense of danger of a 3-year-old when I first put up my ads, maybe because I thought I would only be earning a couple of dollars a month from it. I was surprised when the earnings started to trickle in. I sure am glad that G has allowed me to thrive to this day.
I would strongly suggest that you leave the clicking to your visitors. And visitors do not mean friends, family or anyone that you know ;)
Last year I went overseas for 12 weeks and tomorrow I am going to book a five week overseas trip, to be taken in around three months. Italy, London, Sweden, Greek Islands all thanks to the mighty Google.
Adsense is way to good to banned from!
Maybe it was when I was reading the TOS as I was initially setting up my account that the idea was first impressed upon me that clicking my own ads for any reason whatsoever was stupidity beyond comprehension. Maybe it was the way the same warning was repeated several times throughout the Help section. Perhaps it was the repetition of the warning in the introductory form-letter sent to my by some robot at AdSense.
Not sure. But at any rate, I've never done it.
I'm simply not all that *curious* what happens when someone clicks on an ad link. I imagine (in my wild fantasies) that the content of their browser window flushes, and presents some salesy page under a foreign domain...possibly with annoying animated GIFs.
Exotic? You bet! A must-see experience? Oooooh boyo!
Sorry for the rant, but sometimes people rationalizing their questionable behaviour gives me brain cramps. I mean -- c'mon. Who is actually dumb enough to click on their own stinkin' ads and believe that the rules don't apply to them?
RTFM.
I don't use AdSense myself, but as an advertiser in charge of more and more accounts, stories like this make me turn off content ads without even giving them a chance.
So if you are thinking of clicking on your ads, then please DON'T. You are likely to be banned and it puts other advertisers off.
“I can only suggest you contact the adsense team before they contact you and explain what you have done”
And thanks “ncw164x” for your suggestion…:)
^^ That`s wrong info!
You only need a newdomain, then you can apply for a new account! But like those others said, if your making good money, why the f... wood you want to ruin that..! :/
