I had since some month the theory to sell besie AdSense some ad space direct to companies where I write articles about them.

But seems I just drop this approach to more income.

Made a 6 page article about some widget.
Conquered major SERPs position for this widget.
Receive about 350 visitors a month asking for this widget.

The vendor of this widget hat an absolut unfindable site. I made him a cheap very good offer. I sent him 6 Google result pages with my positions.

I sent him requests from 2 people interested in his widget, it in the price range of some $10.000

But he has to think about it.

Hey, why I am wasting my time with such people?
Making more content pages brings more.

That's the beauty of Adsense. You don't have to deal directly with the advertizer!

Yes, you may make a little less, but you also have a LOT less hassle.

For this, I change more and more my attidude to being a journalist.

Journalists run for the story, not for the money from the person creating the story.

Starting February, I saw on a fair a very interesting product. I had a good talk with the promotion chief of the company. He even pleased me to look how good is his web site.

Now he wails how expensive my prices for my web design seminars are, that he had just spent so much money for a web site without any SERPs capabilities.

I have really no nerves anymore to discuss with him the value of my work.

I will make a long interview, let give me many photos,
will create a 50 pages study about how useffull, what to do, every quality detail...

He will be happy that I write 50 pages for no money
I will be happy that all his competitiors will spent by Google AdWords maybe $200 a month for the 50 pages.

What a wonderfull world, I am free from the obligation to convince him, that it's only his problem, that he spent all his web design money for a moron and that he has to pay me.

Just do like we do. Make the best integrated site you can, list as many widgets and legitimate providers of the widgets as you can, by name, FOR FREE (no links of course) and then get your site/pages to the top of the serps for that widget. We even list phone numbers many times, since once they start getting phone calls and they ask people where they heard about them, they find out it was from US. Best form of word-of-mouth advertising you can get. The providers who are internet savy enough (i.e. pre-internet-trained) to search for their keywords and their own company names, and realize you're where THEY WANT to be will CONTACT YOU to inquire about linking or available affiliate programs, optimizing their websites, etc. which you can accept at YOUR option and price. The others will eventually go out of business. Then you just need to update the page listings periodically (to remove those out of business and add the new upstarts) and start over. :)
