In this thread about the February Payment being approved [webmasterworld.com], AdsenseAdvisor wrote:

Your accounts may show that this month's payment will be deposited by EFT, but actually everyone will receive their payments by USD checks and EFT will begin next month (as originally stated). This should be fixed in your accounts soon. Also, the payment date is the date that the check was printed and sent.
Hope that clears up any confusion!

But in this thread about some publishers not showing Payment Approved [webmasterworld.com], europeforvisitors wrote:

EFT began this month (payments for February earnings) for publishers who submitted their EFT information by March 15, which--if I recall correctly--was a day or two after EFT was announced.

I submitted my information right away, and my EFT payment showed up in my bank account on Friday, March 25.

So, if you missed the deadline for this month's EFT payment, take heart: Your money should arrive at the speed of light, rather than at the speed of the post office, when next month's EFT payments go out.

I added the bold text.

Is this part of the BETA? Some publishers get the EFT this month and others start next month?

I also submitted my information right away and my payment approved page initially said "EFT" now it says "Check".

Maybe there is also a time cutoff on the submission date for entering your EFT information and I was a few hours too late?

There's no confusion, read the email Google sent you. Cheques this month, EFT next month (March earnings).

Will it still take aprox. 30 days to receive payment by ETF next month?

Did you read my post?

Europeforvisitors reported that he received an EFT from Google Adsense this month.

So yes, there *is* confusion.

There were people who were beta testers for EFT before it was made a widespread release, so it is possible that members who are reporting EFT were those who were part of the beta test.

I think EFV stated he signed up almost immediately after the e-mail was sent out and has since received his payment by EFT, so the poster has every right to ask the question without being dismissed. Perhaps there are others (not in any beta testing regime) who have also received their payments?

Oops, I take it back: I did *not* receive my payment by EFT; my brain must have been fogged by the flu when I said that. (I was confusing Google's payment with another payment that arrived in my bank account.)

Here's what happened:

1) My "Payment History" said that payment had been made and showed the type as EFT. (I distinctly remember that much.)

2) Now my "Payment History" is saying that payment was made by check.

So Google must have planned to pay by EFT but didn't in the end.

Sorry to be the cause of so much confusion. (-:

EFV, I think your problem is that you make too much money from too many sources :)

Obviously it must be **real tough** keeping track of it all ;)

Thanks for the clarification EFV.

I wish there was a "close this thread and hide it in the corner" button at WW :)

Seconded!

If this thread had occurred after I'd returned from a whisky tasting about a week and a half ago, I'd have had an excuse for my not-yet-senior moment.:-)

If that is the problem, we can help!
