Did anyone sign up for EFT? My payment status says it was paid by EFT, but I haven't seen it show up in the bank yet, but then again, it's a holiday here today.

I see that my payment for February is now listed on the payment history. It's shown with a date of 23 Mar on the payment history page, 25 Mar on the detail page.

What's surprising is it is showing a payment type of "EFT" with a number sequence totally different from checks. I thought the EFT didn't start till next month. It'll be interesting to see how it arrives!

This is a UK account, BTW. The payment amount is shown in dollars as usual, so no way to tel what the exchange rate is yet, if it really is an EFT.

Another thing to note is it says "Mar 23" as the date even though today is the 25th.

Google specifically said that EFT would start at the end of April. Maybe we'll be paid both by EFT and check. That would be a fun mess to sort out.

Just checked my AS account and the payment for February has been posted. It is dated March 23 (I know it was not posted until today) and the payment date is Mrch 25. I just checked my bank balance and it has not been deposited (I know this might take a day to post, so I will check again on Monday).

Please let me know if you have been posted and if your payment has actully hit your bank account...

Maybe I receive the payment for february earlier on my bank account than the january payment. The previous cheque is still somewhere in the process...

So no one has actually seen the EFT system work yet. You might want to knock on wood - if the EFT system dosen't work, Google may hold all of our cheques until the end of next month. It is a BETA system - it may or may not work. I for one hope it does.

Payment approved, and my payment history also shows 3/23, but the payment date is 3/25. Maybe that means it was approved on the 23rd and the check cut and mailed (I assume it's all automated) on the 25th?

At least I know my utility bill (plus a little extra money) will be paid for another month - thank God winter is beind us here in the Northeast.

I think all will be paid by cheque this month. EFT will be effected next month. What you saw in your "Payment Type" is the type of payment you have selected (Check, EFT, etc.) in your "Payment Details".

not sure if i afree with you 'fromrocky'. Typically payment numbers when they did checks were in the 6 digit number ranges, I believe the EFT payment numbers are in the 8 digit numbers. But just to check, anyone who is still opting for checks note if the payment id is 6 or 8 digits.

I'm still opting for cheque and payment no. has 9 digits including the first 0. I think they have changed the sequence of payment number.

Your accounts may show that this month's payment will be deposited by EFT, but actually everyone will receive their payments by USD checks and EFT will begin next month (as originally stated). This should be fixed in your accounts soon. Also, the payment date is the date that the check was printed and sent.

Hope that clears up any confusion!

I can't comment on any timeline for when EFT will be available for more countries. Keep in mind this is still a beta feature. However, I'd like to assure everyone that we're hard at work making improvements.

I have my fingers crossed that some of the other well established major financial centres around the world will be added to the Beta EFT testing soon.

I was very surprised to see even a well regulated country such as Singapore or even Hong Kong were not even included, and there are many others.

RobinK, in previous months, my "payment approved" showed up many hours after people posted these notes here. I checked really late tonight and mine was done, but I suspect that this is done on some sort of rolling basis.
