I just got my tax bill from my tax man.
We run a DBA under my wifes name and EIN.
He suggested that I can reduce the Self Employment tax if I have the payments go to my SNN vs hers. I am employeed in a regular job but she is not.

The easy thing to do would be ot have Google change the payee information along with changing the W-9
That way I do not have to change any code and the stats are secure.
The other way is to open a new account and start changing the code page by page. Then I run the risk of a TOS violation by having two accounts on one site.

Question, Have anyone else been succesful in changing the payee status on an account.

Other suggestions welcome.

Here is what I did... I switched from an individual account to a business. Basically, I had to change who the checked was being paid to.

1. Open a new account with your name as the payee.

2. Switch all of the code on the site to new account.

3. Email Google that you would like to close the old account.

4. Process complete.

Since you have a job, you are currently paying social security taxes. At around $87,000, you stop contributing to social security. If you make over $87,000 at your job or close to it - it would be benefit for you to move the adsense earnings under your name. After $87,000 - none of the adsense earnings would be taxed by social security.

Thanks, You did what I am tying to avoid.
With over 100 pages I am hoping to avoid the code changes

Started the Business but it is is the wifes name and the EIN is linked to her SSN.

Have other income streams that will continue to go to her.
Still hoping to just change the W-9 info with Google.

Seems You are not using a content meagement system.
I have written my own since 1997.

So it was just some hours work to put the new AdLinks on 1255 from 3285 pages.
