i've 2 issues :

i own a website with adsense running on it already for 6 months. i took over another popular(than mine) website from someone and wanted to add adcode on those pages too(obviously, his site was more popular than mine). but he revealed that google has banned him from using adcode on that site an year back for some illegal clicks.

1.now can i use my existing adcode on that new site too, since its a new ownership now? will google ban my previous site too and my account for using adcode on banned sites?

2.will i have to apply for a new account for that site and will google listen to me that i'm the new owner and have nothing to do with what happened last year on that site.

If I were you, I'd email AdSense support, and explain the situation. Tell them what you will do differently from the previous owner, point them to your site.

yes, if you have your reasonable Adsense history the best move is to ask G directly.

(But... I must say that I doubt they will allow that.)

good luck, and let us all know...

I would be surprised if Google allow this. Whats to stop the original owner doing this - creating a new account and saying they have bought the domain.

Once a domain is banned it should be banned forever

If I were Google I'd want to ban owners, not domains. But let's see what they say.

Google ban the domain name for life even if it changes hands, I know someone in this situation and they can't get the ban lifted

Madsense,

While Google is the only one who can give you a definite response, it has been the experience of this forum (and people here have e-mailed Google on this very issue) that Google will NOT allow the banned site, even if the owner changes. Owner, content and domain are all banned. In any case, do not put your code on without getting the approval of Google first (which they won't give you).
