EFT too smart to be true?

Only local bank account required for NL

I just selected EFT and it asked only for my local bank account. No IBAN (explicitly forbidden), no local bank info. Does that really work? My company is located in the Netherlands.

I paid an invoice from the UK today, and my bank required something like 8 different pieces of information (IBAN + address + city + SWIFT code + bank something + name of bank + city of bank).

Within the Netherlands the bank account number is enough. But does it work that way when Google transfers from the USA?

I think that Google has one bank account per country and therefore do not need IBAN info as the payment is made within the NL from a Dutch bank. Is the only logical answer I can find.
