Google AdLinks

Who wants to be the first to let us know what the earnings are on these suckers? I'm too scared to try them myself, but may be interested.

On a further note, could these updates explain why the bot hasn't updated my ads on a new page in sometime? I set up a new site and one of the pages is still receiving targeting that is about another one of my domains.

Ex: my other site is about A on domainA.com, this is about B on domainB.com, on domainB.com on the index.html I am getting ads about A. They are not even related at all. Any suggestions?

unreviewed,
You can make a separate special channel just for Ad Links, and track it like named channel ad units. That might help a little as you can later subtract those out (at least on a overall basis) to get your Ad unit stats (albeit delayed 2 days).
I agree though that it might be nice to have a paralell but separate tracking report, like for 'ad search', to JUST track ad links separately, so we can see how they are working out. Especially now that Ad units tracking has been encouraged to go to URL based tracking (vs named channel tracking) and some of us have gotten lazy with defining new channels.

Thanks Mike, and yes, I did put a custom channel on it, and it will be interesting to see the result in a few days. It’s just that I’m a small town guy who likes things simple, and understandable. The Adsence program is targeted to people just like me, simple and hopefully understandable. ;)

Suggestion... get rid of that huge bold "Ad Links by Google" text.

Small normal text like the one used by normal banners would be much better.

Or at least let us color it to fit our site's color scheme.

I would suggest making these available in standard ad sizes, too.

Also, it would be wonderful if publishers could specify the categories. (Or at least edit out any inappropriate categories that might arise.)

Are our ad filters still working when we use Ad Links?

(P.S. So far the Ad Links I'm seeing are much, much more relevant than Adsense ads usually are. Good work!)

I'm trying the adlinks on just three pages that are homepages for sites that haven't served up well matched ads in the past. It looks like this is worth trying as in the choices of ad topics showing there seems to be some that are well matched to the page topics.

If this looks like it will work I'll put adlinks on all the pages of those sites. Right now they are limping along with some related amazon affiliate links.

I'm not going to touch the sites that are doing well with adsense. Not unless I learn that adlinks does as well.
