Using Adwords and Adsense Together

Will I hurt sales?

I drive traffic to a web page using Adwords that promotes a product. Obviously, I want to make a sale on that product.

At the very bottom of the page, I have adsense running...

Now, am I hurting my sales? I figure if they can't get what they are looking for at the top of the page, then adsense may be my last chance to make money...

Anyone else do this with confidence?

It depends on the product you're selling. On some pages I stopped using adsense because the potential ROI I get from advertising the affiliate far outweighs what I get from adsense.

I have a shopping mall setup...150+ companies...I think I will just have to see what happens to profits over the next month with running adsense...

I figured that it shouldn't be a problem because the adsense are at the very bottom -- not a prime position for links...I would never run adsense at the top or on the left or right..

I am definitely not an expert as I just started using AdSense on 2 of our sites late last week.

What we did do is leave the main core selling pages alone and only put AdSense ads on the many information pages we have.

Early results are encouraging with no lack of requests for our service and a nice steady CTR for the ads. I have no historical data to go on however the AdSense is returning about 70% of our AdWords spend which will be a nice bonus as the months go on.

Especially since this year we have had to turn away 60% of the requests because we couldn't handle them.
