Last part of Feb through first 9 days of March EPC were back to what I was getting in the first 9 months of 2004 ; (Nov Dec Jan EPC were almost half of normal)

So I'm singing along because everything is back to "normal" xx per click when my Hosts server goes down for 2 hours (they needed to do a manual fsdk ) next day EPC drops back to high X per click (almost cut in half)

extremely frustrating because I dont know for certain if it is because hosting was down?

Or maybe I just had a good advertisor that ran out of funds?

Maybe smart pricing got to smart for it's own good?

Extremely frustrating ..not knowing

Do you guys think having your hosting server go down for a few hours could influence EPC?

Hosting down for a few hours, assuming this is true, would be
unacceptable to almost any webmaster here.

You must check your access_log files.
If you cannot get them from your host, change hosts.
If you cannot understand what they are, find out.

I would never suffer "host down for a few hours" without
finding out if this is true, and why. - Larry

Larry I am very happy overall with my host..this is the first major outage I have had in 2 years with them. Hard drive went on the blink ..

I'd be MORE concerned if a 2 hour outage couldreally affect ADSENSE EPC ..

that the info I am looking for ..
could it be our was the outage and decline in EPC just a coincidence?

For what it's worth, my EPC also crashed on March 10 and 11 for no obvious reason (same # of impressions and similar CTR).. so it might not be anything to do with your outage.

thanks wackybrit ...

would sure like to see some stability in EPC ..for 9 months there was ..then boom up and down all over the place .

Late Feb it looked like EPC was back to normal then the day after the hosting outage EPC all over the place again..

That's something that G or Y should offer publishers..

a checkbox on the min EPC a publisher will accept ..then let advertisors fill in the slots.

Would offer stability for both pub and adverstisor

Cute idea, but I don't think it'd work. Everyone would just want the big spenders :-)

My site was down for about 8 hours recently due to a unrelated network equipment failure. Pretty much the worst 8 hours of my life!

At any rate, I saw *zero* impact on AdSense. Sure, earnings were down for that day, but the next day was super busy and made up for it. Overall CPM remains the same before and after.

My host has a 99.9% up time quarantee quarantee.

Once, some years ago, I had not to pay my monthly bill, because they had been 1 hour down.
