Targeting and Multiple Ad Units

I just don't get it!

My main page has a few words about the many articles within my site - the subject matter is computer industry and corporate management related.

I have one leaderboard (currently) and a smaller "button" further down. On most of my pages with Adsense, I only have one unit. On those with 2 - both units always show up.

On the main page, for some reason, the targeting system has decided my page is about outsourcing. No matter what I do, in terms of tweaks, outsourcing ads come up - and ads that I am not so happy to see like - $5.00/hr we'll code anything, etc... And starting today, the Ebay "great deals on outsourcing" are showing up.

I have tried to break this into two half banners and a button - but then the first half banner gets "outsourcing" and the others never show up.

Shouldn't google be trying to place higher value ads for all the much - much better keywords on the main page? I know from Jenstar's posting recently that filtering out these annoying ads you may be filtering out the best paying ads.

I just think I could do better if the targeting was improved....

edit: oh, the word "outsource***" is not on my page anywhere...

How could filtering out those URLs hurt you? Since you don't want any ads with "outsourcing", does it matter that you'd be filtering out the highest paying ones? You don't want them anyway.
