new email to new adsense publishers - curious addition

are more payment options on the not so distant horizon?

i recently put a friend of mine onto adsense and while excitedly telling me she got accepted into the program, we discovered an extra paragraph in the welcome email that was not there when i signed up, it has to do with payments...im thinking, well im hoping! it has to do the addition of more payment options in the near future...

Is it against the TOS to post the paragraph so we can discuss it in detail?...does anyone else know what im talking about here?

I certainly did a doubletake as its definitely not in the welcome email i received...

anyone?

"sharing is caring.."

haha, good one! havent heard that before

ive been advised by jenstar i cant post the paragraph but can paraphrase

basically the new paragraph in the welcome email refers to a PIN being sent to the payees mailing address prior to first payment...

my question is
HUH? A Personal Identification Number? WHY?

That is nothing to do with payments, but a step they use to confirm addresses of publishers. You receive the number by mail, then enter it in your account as a verification step.

I've read about it too. I'm still waiting for my first payment, it's not arriving yet. I wonder if I would be sent a PIN, but most people I talked to tells me they never recieve a PIN. Anyone have any advice?

A week or two ago I was required to set a PIN when I logged into my Adsense account.

I thought it was curious but not newsworthy since it didn't really seem to offer any big upgrade or change.

Was anyone else required to set a PIN when logging in or am I just special? ;)
