Is anyone else getting this error? It just started appearing on all my pages.. in the IE error panel - and the ads aren't appearing.

Looks like we've analyzed this to death, but the same thing happened to me tonight. They were only gone for a short while and then reappeared.

Just had a reply back after putting a trouble ticket into Google. They say their "engineering team has identified the issue and it is now resolved".

Nice to have such prompt replies.

Our client sites were definitely affected by this anomaly, but it appears to have been corrected since about 20:00EDT. On a side note, CTR is very low today - perhaps a fluke - impossible to drill down without more granular (per domain, per page) reporting features from Google.

My ads just came back on, 8:50 PM Los Angeles time. What a relief! I was imagining all kinds of things--then I looked at this forum. It's good to not be the only mouse-bound obsessive.

Out of nowhere, the google ads on my site are causing javascript errors, so I'm getting blank ad slots. Is anyone else having this problem? I haven't changed the code in awhile.

Did you alter the adsense code?

No, I haven't touched it since they sent us the new "colors" code.

For most of us it seemed to be downtime for half an hour or more last night but now back to normal, are you still getting the problem?

Thanks for showing me that forum. I looked for a similar topic, was couldn't find one. Well, I'm still getting blank slots, no fix yet. Has anyone heard from google about this?

You should try to contact Google - they might think it's fixed, at least from responses quoted in the thread last night.

Although it was only down for half an hour for me as a viewer, it seemed to vary in each part of the world. It noticably reduced impressions, clicks, and revenue for many more hours so chase them up to fix it asap if it's still a problem for you.

My tech guy thinks perhaps their spider did something wacky and since our site is huge it may be taking longer to respider. I can only hope. I've emailed them, but . . .

When it was down (javascript error) last night, I saw the same problem on multiple adsensed sites (mine and others). When it was fixed, they all were fixed (for me) at the same time, but some others saw the problem (on multiple sites) fixed earlier, others saw problems for much longer.

So, it looks to me like the problem is with the copy/caching of [pagead2.googlesyndication.com...] you see, as a user. This would help explain why the reduction in ads on my site was over a much longer period than just the 30 min outage I personally saw. Try a different ISP if you can...

When it resumed working for me, it resumed working on all 80,000+ pages on my site at the same time, as far as I can tell - as well as all other adsense sites I could see, so I don't think there's any site-specific spidering involved.

I got an email from Google this morning, don't want to quote it exactly, but they mentioned "technical difficulties" following a "system upgrade" and they apologized a lot. The problem is supposed to be fixed, so anybody who is still not getting ads should contact them. The person who emailed me said that he had checked my site to make sure the ads were appearing.

I did notice this morning that my pages had fallen out of their search results (from #7 for my most important keyword phrase to impossible to find), that could be related to low results today--besides that it's Friday.
