My sites have a very consistent effective CPM. Since September 2004 to date, it has not fluctuated more than 20 cents per month. Day to day averages are also consistent. By the way, it only changed in September because I added the additional ad positions.

But, yesterday my effective CPM doubled. I can't wait until my channel data is available so I can get a better grasp on what happened. This is a huge amount of extra income for me, I'm praying that it wasn't just a fluke. Looking at my stats for the past year, yesterday stands out like a sore thumb.

Did this happen to anyone else, any idea why it happened?

Yes, Yesterday is a real surprise even though there is no double EPM for me. Only reason I can think of is data dump late last night.

I'm spaceylacie for a reason, what is a 'data dump'?

I'll answer my own question, I guess you mean a fluke in Google's system. I started watching my stats yesterday when I realized that half way through the day I had already made what I normally get in an entire day. It steadily went up until late last night when I checked, and full stats this morning. So, it didn't all get dumped in there at one time.

Unusual high CPM in an add channel is usual caused by an unusual high priced new ad champaign.

I had such things happen with 3 times higher daily result than the average of the month.
