Important email from Google - account update

How come I don't get any emails from Google? I've been with Adsense for almost a year now but in all that time I aint had any contact from them apart from the welcome email when I was approved?

I've checked my spam folders too but nothing! Does anyone else NOT get email?

That's ditto for me as well Freedom. I have been in adsense a little under a year. And that was the first email I have ever gotten from them, outside of welcome letter.

Honestly, it scared the crap out of me.

Actually my first thought was - "is this a phishing email?". It's only a matter of time until AdSense publishers start to get targetted with this sort of scam.

If you're not receiving Google emails, then you should be... but spam filters often eat this sort of email up. I have a number of unfiltered email addresses I use for this sort of correspondence, just to be on the safe side.

Feb stats were adjusted several days ago.... if you weren't logging those stats, or at least keeping a keen eye on how much you earned each day, then you may have missed it.

Without going into great detail, and to possibly give an esitmate of what your adjustment was... I generate several hundred thousand impressions per day, and the adjustment amounted to less than $2/day.

This letter explains a lot to me. I noticed a reduction in my CTR rate around the first of this year. At first I figured it had something to do with holidays. After about 15 days my traffic was back to normal, but not my CTR. So, I started an optimization effort, blocking unwanted ads, changing the format, changing ad location. I got some response but nothing dramatic. I decided that visitors must be getting used to the format and took a break from optimization. So, I get this email and now my CTR is back to pre new years rate. I can only speculate on what gg was doing. As an honest hard working publisher, I am undecided on how I should feel about this.

Has this matter been resolved or is it still ongoing?

My Feb CPM was at the time reported as normal minus 35%. When I got the email I checked back and this has risen to normal minus only 8% (approx).

Now the last few days are back to normal - 35%. A bad couple of days, or is another correction on the way?
