Hi everyone, I've been having this problem and i'm sure a few other people are too. I'm on a brand new laptop with Norton installed, and I can't see any google ads on any pages. Even if I disable Auto-Protect in Norton I still can't see any. So i've been having to go on my other computer just to look at the ads when i'm testing different layouts, this is very troublesome. Can anyone here help me out?

Thanks a bunch

You need to disable the feature in Norton Internet Security or turn off NIS when you want the ads. I had a trial version of NIS that still showed ads but you couldn't click-thru, which was pretty cool because it kept you from accidentally clicking one of your ads. I guess now they don't appear at all.

Auto-protect is Norton Antivirus. Right click on the Norton Internet Security icon on the taskbar by your clock, then 'Disable'. Also, I think you can uninstall NIS & still run NAV. I'm not running Norton anymore so I should shut up now.

At client support, Norton is the single most time consuming threat ever seen.

Something does not work?

The client has clicked something wrong in Norton is the usual reason.

To turn off Norton Internet Security's ad blocking:

Open NIS, then click Norton AntiSpam on the left side.

From the menu on the left, select Ad Blocking.

Ad blocking options will show up on the right side, click "turn off".

OK I had a few sips of Java
Now to get this thread back on track, if JavaScript is disabled in the browser or blocked by Norton, Google ads (JavaScripts) wont show up.

Have a look in "Ad Blocking" and click on "Advanced". You will see a list of sites that your computer will not accept ads from.

You may well have added AdSense inadvertently there. If you have, just remove it
