You can have up to 3 ad blocks on each page.

originally you were only allowed 1 adblock but now you are allowed 3.

also, if you are putting in more than 1 and you are not seeing ads, it could be that there are not enough ad inventory for your topic (default).

too much information

I've seen that too. The 2nd ad block will populate for a split second then go blank. (I assume because they had the same content, but it wasn't visible long enough to verify.)

I have also seen it take up to 2-3 days for ads to show up in second and third ad units. Not sure why this happens, but I have seen it across multiple accounts and sites.

Are any of you noticing any increased revenues due to the second or third ad block? The reason I ask is since there are ore ad blocks, the CTR would be lowered overall leading to a lower EPC due to SmartPricing.

Thanks

For several months I ran two adblocks, a leaderboard at the top and the wide skyscraper at the right side. It was rare, but occasionally the skyscraper outperformed the leaderboard. Usually the leaderboard got about 80-90% of the clicks (and earnings).

I've since redesigned that site. For a short while I used one of the large rectangles at the top and either the vertical banner at the side or the 468x60 banner at the bottom. All those banners did was get impressions, no clicks. I've since removed them and currently only use a large rectangle. CTR is higher with the rectangle than it ever was with the leaderboard.

EPC has remained within the same small range throughout all of this - the EPC was not affected at all. CTR is naturally reduced with more than one adblock, but only by 1/2 for 2 adblocks or by 1/3 for three.

Conclusion: if you have the space, use the additional adblocks as they may get a click that you might not have otherwise gotten. Smart pricing doesn't seem to have a part in the performance of the additional adblocks, and is more likely affected by how your content has been written.
