Targetting and click query...

Basic questions from Adsense newbie

I had two queries:

(1) The first one was about Adsense's geographical tracking. I have the banner code on a UK movie review site.

Because I am based in the UK, I see adverts for UK DVD retailers etc. If somebody saw the page from, say, Canada, would they see advertisers from Canada (if there were some in my category)?

(2) At the moment, I only have the Adsense code on a few pages of my sites. The reason I haven't added them to all our pages is because I wasn't sure if it would be possible to earn money if somebody clicked on more than one advert.

Say, for instance, somebody clicks on an Adsense advert via my index.html page and then, having visited the advertiser, returns to my site. Then, a few minutes later, they see another advertisers on another page of my site and click on that. Would I get paid twice?

Obviously, Google would to prevent fraud, but is there a potential of earning money twice on one visitor? Otherwise it doesn't make sense for us to ad the Adsense code to every page of our site.

Thank you for your help :)

Someone searches google and clicks on an ad and google gets paid.

The come back and click on the second ad after figuring out the first one was not good enough. Google gets paid.

Why would it be fraud if this happened on a publishers site? Anyways, best to email them. They're a pretty good bunch when it comes to answering questions -- even though they don't answer many specifics.

1Lit... take these as non-authoritative answers..

1. Yes, people from canada or Us would see different ads, so far as the adwords advertisers have filtered their ad distribution by country. In your area, I guess there guys are pretty savvy and do so..

2. I think somewhere google says "you get paid" eveyu time someone clicks on an ad. Good advice to ask google, but ive always assumed people can click on 10 (for example) ads on your sites and you will get paid for all 10, as long as the click patterns do not indicate its some sort of fraudulent or "artificial" click...

The other answers are correct. Here are some additional thoughts on it.

add to 1. If the site is about a specific location (looking at a UK site from Canada), particularly information for tourists, I often see UK ads. But this is probably more to do with the fact that those UK advertisers have chosen to show ads to Canadians, not just those in the UK.

add to 2. If someone was to click on the SAME ad twice, even if it is on a different page, you only get credit for one click. Or at least in theory, since according to the AdWords policy advertisers would not get charged for both clicks, only one.
