Adding New Sites

I Need Help...

When adding my Google ads to other sites different from the main url that I used when signing up with AdSense, do I need to tell Google about each of these sites that I have my ads listed on? Is there some place that I need to list all of my sites within my Google AdSense account? Or does Google automatically find/detect these sites?

My second question is:

Does Google allow ads to be placed on sites other than top-level domains? Like for example, something like: [example.com...]

Thanks!

No you do not need to inform Google about adding AdSense to other sites or other domains. Per the TOS you do need to have ownership of these sites/domains.

You may want to set up channels to monitor the performance of each site/domain, but that is optional.

Yes, you also put AdSense on pages with URL's like [example.com...] -- but you must have ownership of the root domain (example.com).

Hope this helps.

I didn't see anywhere in their policies that you must have ownership of the root domain. It is my understanding you can put Adsense on accounts with free or cheap web hosts were you just have a subdirectory under the host's domain like www.freewebhost.com/~joeuser/

You are correct, you do NOT need ownership of the domain. The original site which I suggested to adsense was a cheap host.

Thank you everyone for your help. :)

I have another question concerning this topic.

Let's say that I have a subdomain on the same root domain as the main url that I used when signing up with AdSense. Does that subdomain address have to have more than one page of content? Or is one page enough?

I've heard that site's need to have at least 5 pages of content, but I'm not sure if that applies to other pages/sites under the same account.

Thanks again.
