Just wondering if Anyone else noticing a sharp improvement in overall Adsense performance.

January was an average month for me, but I have noticed a sharp increase on all fronts since the beginning of Feb., even though it's just a few days. Page impressions are on target, but CTR is up approx 1.2% and "effective CPM" is up by almost 40%. EPC has nearly tripled. Traffic on my site hasn't changed much, but I did notice better targetting ads all of a sudden, for no reason, I have not updated my content recently! Is there any major adsense update going on? Something is wrong with AdSense!

Why don't we see more threads like this one? :-)

Yes, it is dramtically up, but it is always up at the beginning of the month then slowly tapers down, so far though it is still tapering up, which is delightfully strange.

you're in one camp. however, there's the "other camp" in which publishers are seeing steep declines.

I got tanked yesterday, so I'm also wondering what's going on.

I see a sharp increase since yesterday. However due to Allegra [webmasterworld.com] my impressions are still down at a quarter of normal.

But at least there is some hope.

I'm having a good month so far, too. AdSense trends appear to be favorable, but the the Allegra update to Google Search is the biggest contributor: My traffic has climbed by about 30% since the update began.

efv,

Why is it called the Allegra update? (sounds like an OTC medication).

I searched Google and the two relevant results I could find on WebMaster World led to 404 pages, and there was no cached results (weird). "site search" come up with nothing too.

Thanks.

I don't see any changes which could not be explained by the recent "Allegra" update - keep in mind that even if you get the same amount of traffic you might get a different audience, users coming to your site with different keywords etc.
