One-cent clicks

Are single-cent clicks new?

I read in another thread that two cents was the lowest payout per click, but this morning my site was hit with a small flurry of single-cent clicks. Is this new? Another sign of the dip that Adsense has taken over the past couple of days? Or is my site just uniquely ill-positioned?

Perhaps you got multiple clicks that AdSense discounted for being fraudulent. The clicks will be added to the click total, but no earnings will be added, so it can give the appearance of a lower EPC than what it actually was.

It could be that your various stats simply had not update in unison. They freqently update at different times and that sometimes makes the various numbers quite innacurate on a short term (hourly) basis.

Thank you both! I hadn't realized that those scenarios could happen. Thanks for your help.

Somebody may have speculated that two cents was the lowest payout per click, but that doesn't make it so. :-)
