URL channel partial names do not work

www.my-domain.com/half-folder-name

There is a group of folders all with the same name at the begining.

I created a URL channel

my-domain.com/xxxx
to cover
my-domain.com/xxxx-yyyy
my-domain.com/xxxx-zzzz
my-domain.com/xxxx-aaaa
my-domain.com/xxxx-bbbb

But this did not work. Have to make full names.

i had a lot of trouble at first with channels that google couldn't figure out but I eventually did.

www.mydomains.com/folder/index.html as a channel did not track but,

www.mydomains.com/folder/ tracks perfectly.
