AdWords and AdSense joint account

Google takes the AdWords money up front, but pays the AdSense account an averge of 45 days late (30 days plus an average half month). That means Google is holding the money for about 30 days after they get it, and earning interest on it.

I mailed AdWords/AdSense asking whether they could set up a combined account for me. The idea was, I hoped, that instead of billing my credit card every month for what I owe AdWords they could simply deduct what I owe from the AdSense balance (and bill my credit card the difference if necessary).

I got a response telline me that AdWords and AdSense are "separate" programs. Clearly they're not. Clearly AdWords transfers cash to AdSense to pay for the publishers. Maybe if enough people request this feature it'll happen....

Direct deposit of AdSense revenue would be even better, but hey, I'm picking my battles here.

I e-mailed Google with exactly the same idea a few weeks ago.

Being able to transfer Adsense earnings to an Adwords accounts would really be a very good new feature.

At WebmasterWorld convention in Vegas, I asked the same question to the AdSense rep during the 'Contextual advertising' session. It was really funny because the rep reacted to me like she didn't think it was a good idea, and then she asked for a show of hands for who woulld like that feature, and literally, every hand in the room went up. Hopefully they are already thinking about it.

I remember in 2003 when AdSense begun, that was forbidden have accounts in both programs (Adsense and adwords) simultaneously by the same person.

Now, from your posts I understand that at some point that policy changed. Can you tell me please when it happened?

That was never the case.

What was the case, was that Google had some technical difficulties reconciling people with accounts in more than one of its projects or properties.
