Has anyone tried to acquire other sites? I'm not getting enough traffic/clicks so I am looking to grow thru acquisition. Is there such a site for this? (not the "e-commerce" sites on ebay for sale)

Thanks

interesting idea. I don't see why it shouldn't work, ofcourse it would granted you buy the right site for the right price.

the problem with this approach is the cash investment.
Webmaster business people will usually charge you a multiple of a month’s revenue plus an additional amount for the domain and any intellectual property.

So asking for 12 months revenue in advance is not unreasonable.

The problem is that most webmasters are either attached to their sites or believe they are about to 'strike it rich' so you will be quoted 10 yeas revenue in advance.

Other webmaster are not interested in selling.

The rest (I find) have lost interest with a site and subsequently can't be contacted

People have done this. Just be sure if you are buying a site you think is "perfect for AdSense", that it hasn't been previously suspended by Google.

Buying a site, sure ok fine, but there is loads more to it, maintaining or increasing the value of a quality site ( or sites) is a another matter.
