Has anyone else noticed their Adsense ad stats not updating recently? Mine haven't changed for around 4 hours...

Yep, I'd say you're just about right at 4 hours.

It's really frustrating because this has become an almost daily occurrence.

Ours aren't moving either. Impressions or clicks.

I would just *love* to see a "As of TIMESTAMP" on the reporting page. That could save me a lot of obessive refreshes. :)

Aside from any downtime, is their a delay with AdSense reporting and what is it?

I'm on Eastern Time, so between me and Google there is a three hour difference right there. But I think there is at least a 1-2 hour lag apart from the time zone difference.

When everything is working as it should be, I don't think the delay is more than 30 minutes.

As to the time zone difference, that's not a delay.

Just relax! As you are watching your stats every 15 minutes.... Djezus!

Impressions are updating.
About the clicks I'm not sure, they are way too low.

Damn Google really really needs to improve the stats! It's almost every 2-3 days that they have problems with it.

luchtzak, relax. I do have a life and I don't watch my stats every 15 minutes.

Every 20 minutes is good enough for me!

Just curious, how many of you folks deal with or have used other advertising networks / affiliate programs?

Relax and as the GoogleGods commanded.... go create content. :)

I do, and AdSense performs far better on my site than any other ad network has done (primarily because the other ad networks aren't able to deliver targeted advertising, IMHO).

On the other hand, I still earn twice as much from affiliate programs as I do from AdSense, but that's probably because I'm in a category (travel) where readers are researching ways to spend their money.

Europe ... your site is exceptional and its is obvious that you have spent tons of time and effort on it.

My issue is with these daily gripes and real times whines about stats not updating for a couple of hours. Have dealt with about a couple of dozen advertising / affiliate networks since 1998, I perhaps have a different perspective on "real time revenue updates".

Yes, I know what you mean. And in the case of affiliate programs, it isn't just whether the stats come in quickly--it's also whether bookings are cancelled, whether monies are collected, and how long it takes commissions to be received. (Or whether commissions are ever received at all. I'm still owed a considerable amount of money by a well-known hostel network that has never paid me a dime.)

Don't get me wrong--affiliate programs can be great sources of revenue--but there's a lot to be said for a network like AdSense where the numbers that you see in your stats are likely to be the numbers you see a few weeks later on a check!

I think 99% of us would agree that there is almost nil benefit from checking stats more than once every 24 hours. However its a great motivation for many to see their site making money, and it can be a bit of a fun thing. Suddenly for a new user, seeing no clicks for 12 hours may make them think they are banned or something and they panic!

I have to admit i like peeking in every so often if i have a free 10 secs, but its not teaching me anything after 2 months that ii didnt know already (range of click through costs etc), and i realise now that more than once every 24 hours, or even once evvery 7 days if i havent made any changes (new pages, new colors, new positioning, new formats blah blah) is probaly enough.

I guess im just one of those who went for skyscapers at the top from the start, never touched colors (more important things to do), and the stats just gradually just get better every week..
