Message Too Old, No Replies

So worried about clicking on ads on your own site . . .

. . . that you NEVER click on an Adsense ad.

I've noticed a funny thing about myself. After reading the horror stories about getting booted out of Adsense for clicking on ones own ads, I have developed a reflex action of NEVER clicking on an Adsense ad, anywhere, whether its my site or not, except a few times when I consciously reminded myself, "it's okay to click that, this isn't your site" . . .

Judging from the comments on these boards, you're not alone.

I wrote them, giving my static IP-address (which stands for my whole company with lots of employees) and asked them to not count clicks from this address.

They replied that they have stored the IP in their system and will not count clicks from it.

LOL
I visually block out all ads on all websites. When doing search, I right click on ad to get url then type it on address bar. This applies to all search engines.

But, they've stopped doing entertaining these requests now.

I added pagead2.googlesyndication.com to my HOSTS file, meaning I never even see adsense ads and so therefore cannot click them accidentally!

My site mainly caters to webmasters. I wished there was a way to uncodition the publishers.

I would agree, it is my first nature to be hesitant to click on an Adsense ad I see on some other site while surfing the web.

Of course just like everyone else I am paranoid about inadvertently clicking on an Adsense ad on my own site. Windows XP (maybe other Windows versions too) have a feature where you can press "Ctrl" and a circle will form around the current position of the mouse cursor. I'll often do this before I even touch my mouse or mouse pad, just in case I might create a click by accident when I place my hand on it.

Even before AdSense I never clicked ads, and now is no different although I am especially careful about all AdSense ads now, even to avoid an accidental click.

What I have noticed of late though, and I have to admit it really annoys me, are the sites that have put the AdSense code so neatly into a page, you think they are internal links.

From my own perspective I want ads to be clearly ads and not an ad wearing the disguise of an internal link.

Not only do I never click on an Adsense ad but I never even move my mouse over them, just in case I sneeze or something.

Pathetic, really.

I never click on an adsense ad on any site. The right-click trick does just fine.

There supposed to make you think there internal links so you click them and increase our earnings!! Try it yourself and you'll never hate them again!!!!
