The opposite of the low earnings today thread

Hope it sticks

Today is the first post holiday monday since the Y! update and I couldn't be happier. Impressions are way up. CTR hasn't dropped and neither has EPC or EPM. Since I have participated in so many 'earnings way down today' threads I thought I would jump to the other side for a change.
I'm curious as to how this weeks traffic will relate to traffic once the holidays are officially over next week. Last years stats aren't much help since I was changing so much at that time and Google was still bouncing around post-florida pre-brandy. Any ideas as to what the new year will bring?

Everything is up here as well today. :)

Both Saturday & Sunday were in the dumper, and it seemed like next to noone was online.:(

I wonder how many new computers and newbies to the internet have just been added? I tend to think a lot if it's anything like previous years. They were probably spending yesterday setting up their new computers and internet access.

Yes, I'm being optimistic.;)

November and December have been great.

CTR: Up, Impressions: Up, eCPM: UP

I hope at least some of the improvements hold up for the future. But I'm just finishing my first year of full ad deployment soon, so I'm not sure what to expect after the new year starts.

in the last few days, my impressions have actually gone down a bit (or remained flat at best) but I've got CTR like 2-3 times normal and eCPM has gone up like 5-6 times..

i am not complaining but will google? reading all the "out of the ordinary" things causing google to cancel accounts makes me worried now.

Y! update shouldn't last very long as all the spam sites have high rankings.

Shouldn't matter for me. In my areas the results are comparable to G's and my inclusion is a result of getting my pages into the index properly for the first time, not so much a result of any algo tweaks.

Ironically, I had my highest CPM of the month on Christmas Day.

"Ironically, I had my highest CPM of the month on Christmas Day."

Me too--and the next-to-lowest overall earnings....

Since Monday, our revenues are creeping back up but still on the low side. This is the first time this year when our revenues will decrease, after seeing continuous growth month after month.

I'm still witnessing the usual holiday-traffic slowdown, but my CPMs began climbing in mid-December and are now at their highest in several months. I think the reason for this is pretty simple: I've got a travel-planning site, and the ratio of active travelers to armchair travelers probably goes up at this time of year. (Also, there are fewer schoolchildren using my site to research term papers during Christmas break.)

At any rate, it's good to see that the advertisers haven't all taken off for the holidays. :-)

I just sorted the "all time" version of the report and found that yesterday was the second best day since I started using AdSense. First best day was in early November.

Yes, both November and December have been great. October wasn't too shabby either. It seems like it does get better every month, and I hope that trend continues.
