Record Month = Thanks Google

Just have to vent some happiness.

My site was already doing well with AdSense this month. Yesterday and today I did an email camgaign, and today I have record numbers. Hopefully tomorrow too. I can't believe my eyes when checking my reports.

I'm not UPS club by any means but will probably get there next year if all goes well.

Thanks to all the help here, I have my site tweaked to an almost perfect point with my AS positioning.

Now it's just time to get more visitors.

So far, today has been my second-highest day ever. Moving those ads around really helped.

Second that. Positioning ads REALLY helps. I don't get a lot of traffic by some standards but my ads are so optimized they do pretty darn good. I started 6 months ago and just by using the right combo of colors, size, and position of the ad I was able to increase my revenue by 500% with the same amount of traffic.

When I hear of people not making good money with Adsense then I know they either have very little traffic or they haven't tweaked enough. And no, my sites aren't money keywords at all so I know if my sites can produce well then most should. Just tweak.

Also, my sites existed before Adsense and I merely followed Google's own optimizing advice. They really work!

December has also be a super month for us. As of today, we have already equaled our best month on AdSense and still have 10 days to go. I expect we will exceed our best month by 40%. Historically, January is a good month for us also, so I'm hoping for a repeat.

I have added more sites but an old site in particular has been cranking!

Record week for me, but in the negative sense:

From December 16 (start of the new Google update) till now:

10x less page impressions
4x lower CTR
5x lower effective CPM

and most important: 30x lower earnings!
