I've been using AdSense for four months now, and I've finished doing everything I can on my site short of bringing in new visitors.

What is the next level?

I know about the $10,000 per month UPS or FedEx Club (whatever it's called today), and I'm working toward that.

But what is and how do you become a Premium Publisher? What are the requirments, the benefits, the pros & conts, etc?

As always, thanks.

To become a Premium Publisher:

"If your site receives more than 5 million search queries or 20 million content page views a month, you may qualify for AdSense premium service"

The point is, obviouly, they only want to deal with the big guys. They want to make it a very small club. And I'm not in there, but I think it's perfectly appropriate to have a very exclusive group of publishers who get special treatment. We can't all be the New York Times.

number.

Wow. I think I better stick to the goal of reaching the UPS club for now.

Overhead is one reason for keeping the "premium publishers" minimum at 20,000,000 page views per day. It isn't cost-effective to negotiate special terms with small- to medium-size publishers and assign representatives to their accounts.

Another factor may be competition from Overture. After all, there are only so many high-volume portals and news/entertainment sites around.
