How Funny,

Was just taking a closer look at the website google in now using to show off adsense on their adense login page, and advertising page. And it's in breach of the TOS.

Can't post URL but you should be able to figure it out.

LOL

"Marketplace"

You nailed it. I posted yesterday another interesting case. Drudgereport posts adsense once in a while and under it it says "Support the Drudge Report: Visit our Advertisers". Too funny.

Keep in mind that premium publishers have many different rules than the standard publishers.

Sure they have different rules, but do they have the right to push crap clicks to adwords advertisers just because they are big?

Could be, or maybe Google just hasn't caught them yet.

I doubt if they'll get booted if they're a showcase site, though--more likely, they'll get a "Hey, guys, you gotta fix this..." e-mail.

Premium publishers may have different rules but Google should take it down--it's setting a bad example for us kids!

One of the sites (travel) has also altered the AS code.

What we don't know is whether Google approved the changes and unless we do, there is no way to know if they are violating the TOS.

And I think "1-click Consult" in a headline will pass the rules fine. IMHO

Wait, what is so bad about having "Marketplace"

He's just pointing out these are ads and not some sort of home grown link.

What's the problem here? I must be missing something

Terms of Service are not the same for Premium publishers. It's an entirely different set of rules. Different AS code, too.
