Any way to track if a user clicked on an ad?

I've seen a number of discussions on this, but I'm not sure I've seen resolution yet.

Has anyone figured out a way to track page exits via clicking on Adsense ads? Like via a onclick Javascript command perhaps? I of course want to make sure I'm still complying with Adsense TOS.
