Building a site for a high paying keyword

Is this frowned upon, despite the site being a quality site?

I have a network of widget sites, and Adsense has been a very important source of income for my widget network. Now, a new opportunity has presented itself to build a site unrelated to my widget network, but that is paying a fortune according to overture bids. The reason for wanting to build the site is because I just acquired the perfect domain for it, and of course I can see the high income potential from AdSense.

Is this frowned upon? I don't want to put my account in jeopardy, but I see the value of creating this site both for me and for AdSense's advertiser base of this topic.

(It's not the big M keyword, but it's almost up there in PPC)

If the site has good content and not just something copied of the web then i think it's a fine idea. Your just catering to the market.

I stick to things i am enthusiastic about but if your widget website helps people in the interent find information why not help them find advertisers websites. It seems allright to me.

I don't see how Adsense will ever know that you made this site because of your motivation to put ads on it—if, as you say, you make it a high quality site.

What does it matter what the initial motivation was for the creation of the site, as long as it's full of good and relevant information? High quality is high quality.

Also, just because people are bidding high on the words does not mean that you will make lots of money from it.

"smart pricing" kicks in. I personally thin that smart pricing has quite a bit to do with conversions.

I want to jump in here.

I just created a site just like you about high paying keywords. Actually, one of my sites had that part and after I have seen the good bids on overture I spent about 2 months and created a nice site.

First things you have to keep in mind:

1-) After you build the site you will expect couple $ for each keyowrd which is totally wrong since I got so many 10-15 cents click and really got upset. However you can also get really good $ depends on so many things such as visitors' countrties, relevant ads, etc.

2-) You will have a big challenge to provide traffic. (unless you really have good incoming links)

3-) Don't get upset when you see couple cents for each click you will also see couple $ for each click.

4-) Add more and more content, don't see the site as a cash machine, love it and love to provide useful information!

As a newbie, these are moy comments..

Sincerely..

Indeed. You've really got to have an interest in the subject of the site.

I wrote a site recently, whose keywords were fairly pricey (not fantastically so, but better than I'm used to). I was going to write a site about this subject anyway, and knowing that it had some good-paying keywords made me want to do the site all the more!

However, the site is still waiting to get listed well on the search engines. I'm biding my time . . .

Just make a good site. Help to direct people to what they want. Do this and you should be golden.
