Is it possible to configure different filters for the different adsense blocks on a site.
Lets say that I want my top adsense not to mention Widget A so that it is only the bottom one that serves Widget A ads, can I do that by simply forbiding Widget A ads for the top adsense box?

Not yet. Hopefully they will introduce blocking by channel. But until they allow thator some similar option, it isn't possible.
