What percentage of the cost per click does Google keep and what percentage goes to the publisher?

They don't tell us. I've seen various speculations. We are probably getting more than 25% of the revenue but less than 75%. That's all I'm sure of....

Google uses what they call "smart pricing." You might do a search on this phase and see what you come up with. There has been a lot of dicussion on the issue.

As I understand it, "smart pricing" affects what the advertiser pays, and not necessarily the Google/publisher split. If anyone knows better, please feel free to correct me....

I think that's true Hunderdown. Smart pricing means publishers automatically pay 1 cent more than the competition as long as 1 cent more is below their maximum CPC. I don't see how this would affect the share publishers receive.
