Hi,

I planning to implement Adsense, that is one horizontal color banner at the top and one small square (or vertical) at the side of the page.

What should I do to know if COLOR horizontal banners are available (and nice looking) for specific keywords?

Secondly, should I forget the color banner and go for a traditional 3 or 2 ads horizontal banner?

Err.. you control the colour and placement of Adsense on your site. In your control panel you can change the different colours.

Adsense can't change the colour later, although if you have the "Allow image ads" enabled you might get the occasional image. Otherwise it's up to you to make sure the ads look OK on your site.
