Do we get paid for clicks on Google's own adverts?

If Adsense or Adwords are promoted, do we earn $$$s?

I have noticed ads for Adsense showing via Adsense our site. Would we get paid for these? Or is it best to filter them out?

Yes, I confirmed with Google, they are paid ads.

Doesn't their new TOS clearly state that you won't get paid for it?

That was in the terms from last year, that part was not changed. I asked them a month or two ago (well after it was added to the terms) asking specifically about the ads advertising AdSense and Adwords, and yes, they were paid ads.

They are only 5c each at most. Sometimes 2c each

It was added to the terms at the time they did the related searches in the "Ads by Google" space. They were promoting Google search, without compensation to the publishers, when they did that.

So do they get priviliged exposure for being Google's own ads? Because I can bet the other ads on the page I saw them were bidding many times that amount.
